Captures Additional National and Local Awards
Chesterfield, Michigan – Leong’s Chinese Restaurant (Leong’s 21), located at 46590 Gratiot, Chesterfield, Michigan 48051, is, once again, the recipient of top national and local awards. The restaurant was recently honored in the “Top Celebrity Chef & Owners” category at the 8th Annual Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Awards Show & Conference. This category recognizes outstanding individuals in the Chinese restaurant industry in the United States and Canada. The awards, sponsored by Asian Restaurant News (ARN), were presented at a ceremony at the Santa Clara Convention Center Theatre, in Santa Clara, CA, on January 9. ARN is the top information resource for Asian-themed restaurants.
Ling Ling Lam was on-hand to receive this prestigious award and stated, “I would like to thank the employees, customers, family, friends and community for allowing Leong’s 21 to be recognized, once again, at the national level. Lam is well-respected and widely-recognized in the community for her selfless dedication and tireless support of local school districts, hospitals, churches and businesses.
Leong’s 21 was also recently named Number One in the “WDIV 4 The Best Contest,” a WDIV-TV Channel 4 Detroit awards competition. Channel 4, a National Broadcasting Company (NBC), is owned by Post-Newsweek, and is the flagship television station with viewership in the greater southeastern Michigan, northwestern Ohio and southwestern Ontario areas.
In addition, Leong’s 21 has consistently received numerous other awards throughout the years, namely Readers Choice Awards (The Macomb Daily), WDIV 4 The Best Awards (Channel 4) and CityVoter – The Best Awards (Channel 2). “Leong’s 21 will continue its rich tradition of excellence,” stated Lam. “We are extremely proud to be a member of this community.”
